Hayden's story:
Hayden was born 2.5 months early. He spent the first 70 days of his life in the CHKD Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
On his second day of life, Hayden had to have emergency surgery to repair a perforated bowel. He needed to heal and grow over the next few weeks. He had another surgery at two months old. He was finally able to come home two days after his due date.
Today, Hayden is a first grader that loves school, soccer, baseball, and basketball. He is a healthy little boy thanks to the amazing nurses and doctors at CHKD.
